Fargo-Moorhead – Tri-College University announced that more than 50,000 students have participated in the course exchange program since the consortium was established. The 50,000 student threshold was achieved during the current spring term. The course exchange program allows undergraduate students at partner campuses to take courses outside their home campus at any of the partner campuses with no additional tuition. The grades from classes taken at the partner campuses are included on their transcripts at their home campus.
The course exchange is an example of how campus leadership has worked together to remove barriers for the benefit of students. Via the course exchange, students and their families have saved an estimated $266 million (2018 dollars).
Tri-College Provost Tim Flakoll said, “the course exchange program is a cornerstone program for us and one that has been a great cost effective option for students that allows them to diversify or deepen their education and keep them on track for their target graduation date. A student’s decision to attend one of the partner campuses is made even better because of the accessibility option of the course exchange program."
Tri-College University is a partnership comprised of Concordia College, Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota State University, Minnesota State Community and Technical College and North Dakota State College of Science.
