A College Education is Still Important

Recently published in the Washington Post, this opinion piece by the president of the University of Montana, Seth Bodnar, makes excellent points about why a college education -- 2 yr - 4yr - or short-term vocational training -- is still the best way toward a successful career and critical to our nations success.

Highlighted on page 2 are significant statistics about the difference a college education can make: graduates earn more money; graduates experience less unemployment; graduates are less likely to experience poverty.  

Getting a higher percentage of graduating high school students into college is critical; the advantages Tri-College is a big selling point for recruiting students to the FM Metro campuses. Once enrolled, helping students maximize academic options and get the most from college is why the Tri-College partnership was created.
