Kent Eken is a state senator who represents Clay, Becker, and Norman counties. He is the Ranking Member of the Aging and Long-Term Care Committee, is a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Finance and Policy Committee, and currently serves as a Senate Minority Whip.  

Senator Eken has a BA from Concordia College-Moorhead and a MA from St. Cloud State University.  He served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2002 – 2010 and has served in the Senate from 2012 – present.

Senator Eken has served on the Tri-College University board since 2015.
