Maximizing Academic Opportunities

Since 1970, over 50,000 classes have been taken by students, making the course exchange by far the most popular Tri-College program. Often called "taking a Tri-College class" which in reality means using the Tri-College Course Exchange to take a class at one of the partner colleges.

Assisting Partner Campuses Through Coordinated Programs

Tri-College's purpose is to maximize opportunities for Tri-College students, faculty, and the community through unique programs. Since Tri-College was founded in 1970, there have been many programs - some programs moved to specific colleges and others were phased out as focuses changed.

New Programs

Tri-College is always evolving to meet the needs of the partner campuses and enhance opporunities! If you have an idea for a new collaborative program, contact Tri-College or your Provost to discuss your idea.

The program proposal and/or change process is explained here

The Course Exchange Agreement

The campus presidents and provosts have agreed on governance of the course exchange. The Tri-College Course Exchange Agreement details processes for students, faculty, and staff.
