Educational LeadershipThe Tri-College University Educational Leadership Program provides professional/academic education for individuals preparing for mid-management administrative positions (i.e., K-12 school principal, community education director), staff administrative positions (i.e., school district business managers, technology coordinators, curriculum coordinators), and upper-echelon administrative positions (i.e., superintendent of schools). The program offers degrees through MSUM and NDSU at the master's and specialist's levels. Both MSUM and NDSU are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. TCU graduate bulletins are available from the Tri-College Office. Interested persons may apply through the graduate office at MSUM or NDSU. NEW Leadership InstituteTri-College NEW (National Education for Women's) Leadership is a non-partisan leadership education program designed to empower college women to get involved in the political process. The Institute hosts a five-day residential program aimed at promoting public and community leadership among women of diverse backgrounds. The Mission of Tri-College NEW Leadership Development Institute is to encourage civic and political participation and to provide public leadership training to women who do not already have extensive leadership experience. There is a particular emphasis on recruiting women from groups that have typically been underrepresented voices in the political process. LanguagesEach of the Tri-College schools has foreign language specialties, and students of any major field of study are welcome to supplement their educations with language programs offered either at their home institutions or at one of the other two schools. Study AbroadThe three TCU institutions offer a number of opportunities for students who wish to experience another culture and receive university credit at their home institutions. Travel and study programs take participants to some of the world's greatest centers of learning and culture. TCU students travel to Western Europe, Africa, China, India, Japan, Mexico, and around the world.
